Dulwich Outdoor Gallery
About Dulwich Outdoor Gallery
A trail of murals on the streets of Dulwich. Street artists reworked old master paintings from Dulwich Picture Gallery and painted them on homes and walls.
History
In 2012 the organisation Street Art London invited artists to paint murals around Dulwich inspired by the collection at Dulwich Picture Gallery, England's oldest public art gallery.
More murals have been added in the years since, turning quiet residential streets into a free outdoor gallery.
What to Expect
The murals are spread across Dulwich and East Dulwich, so plan to walk for an hour or two. Some have faded or been painted over, so check a recent trail map before you go. Visit Dulwich Picture Gallery to see the original paintings the murals are based on.
