Sky Garden
About Sky Garden
London's highest public garden, at the top of the 'Walkie-Talkie' tower at 20 Fenchurch Street, with bars, terraces and 360-degree views that are free to see if you book ahead.
History
Sky Garden opened in 2015 on the top three floors of 20 Fenchurch Street, the Rafael Viñoly-designed skyscraper nicknamed the Walkie-Talkie for its top-heavy shape.
Free public access was a condition of the building's planning permission, which is why you can visit one of the City's best viewpoints without a ticket.
What to Expect
Free tickets are released online in batches and go quickly, especially for sunset slots, so book a week or two ahead. There is airport-style security on entry. Once you are up, you can stay for your slot, wander the gardens and buy a drink from the bar.
